Grated ginger and green chillies add spice to the fritters. Cook these fritters on slow flame as the chana dal is coarsely ground and will take a while to cook well. </div>
<div class="postingredients">Ingredients:</div>
<ul>
<li>1/2 cup chana dal, soaked for 4 to 5 hours and drained</li>
<li>1/2 cup finely chopped methi</li>
<li>1/2 cup grated carrot</li>
<li>1/2 cup finely chopped spinach </li>
<li>4 to 6 curry leaves </li>
<li>1 tbsp finely chopped green chillies</li>
<li>1 tsp grated ginger </li>
<li>2 tbsp curds </li>
<li>salt to taste</li>
<li>1 tsp oil</li>
<li>oil for cooking</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>In a grinder, grind the soaked and drained chana dal to a form a coarse paste and add little water if required.</li>
<li>In one bowl add fenugreek leaves, carrot, spinach, curry leaves, green chillies, ginger, curds, oil, salt and a little water and mix well.</li>
<li>Pour a little batter on a greased pan with oil and spread it uniformly to form a circle.</li>
<li>Cook on both the sides, using a little oil, till they turn golden brown in colour.</li>
<li>Serve immediately with tomato ketchup or green chutney.</li>
</ul>
